Marta

I was born and raised in Italy where I studied acting and worked professionally in theater and film since 2000
 See my IMDb page.

I lived in New York City for almost 20 years, where I started a career as translator and writer both of fiction and scripts, while continuing performing in film and theater.

My feature film as writer/director, The Contenders, won the Accolade Award at the Honolulu International Film Festival nel 2010 and was accepted in International Film Festivals in Italy and the US. My second second screenplay, A Small Accident, received a special mention at Table Read My Screenplay at the Sundance Festival 2010.

In 2011 I published my first book, a novel in Italian entitled Occhi di cane, cuore di cervo.

I wrote and produced two plays off-Broadway at the Cherry Lane Theatre in New York, The Window, and Toscana or What I Remember.

I keep woking as an actress between the United States and Italy and, along with colleague and friend, Cristina Rambaldi, I founded Dea Ex Machina, to write and develop new TV and film projects.
