I was born and raised in Italy where I studied acting and worked professionally in theater and film since 2000 (among others in the film Quore di Federica Pontremoli, con Giovanna Mezzogiorno e Adriano Giannini in Stai con me; with Sara D’Amario in the TV movie La maschera d’acqua by RAI Cinema). See my IMDb page.
I moved to New York City in 2002 and since then I started a career as translator and writer both of fiction and scripts, while continuing performing in film and theater (among others with Mariangela Melato in the Italian-produced film Vieni via con me, with Anthony Mackie in the short film Crossing, and with Ed Burns and Brittany Murphy in The Groomsmen). I have been performing with the theater company Kairos Italy Theater for years in bi-lingual productions of Italian playwrights such as Edoardo De Filippo, Ennio Flaiano, Dino Buzzati and Franca Valeri.
In 2009 I shot my first feature film as writer/director with my production company City Animals Productions. My second second screenplay, A Small Accident, received a special mention at Table Read My Screenplay at the Sundance Festival 2011. The Contenders, a feature film I wrote and directed won the Accolade Award at the Honolulu International Film Festival nel 2010 and was accepted in International Film Festivals in Italy and the US.
In 2011 I published my first book, a novel in Italian entitled Occhi di cane, cuore di cervo.
In 2014 I produced my first play off-Broadway at the Cherry Lane Theatre in New York. My second play, Toscana or What I Remember, will be produced in the fall of 2016.
