I was born and raised in Italy where I studied acting and worked professionally in theater and film since 2000 (among others in the film Quore di Federica Pontremoli, con Giovanna Mezzogiorno e Adriano Giannini in Stai con me; with Sara D’Amario in the TV movie La maschera d’acqua by RAI Cinema). I moved to New York City in 2002 and since then I started a career as translator and writer both of fiction and scripts, while continuing performing in film and theater (among others with Mariangela Melato in the Italian-produced film Vieni via con me, with Anthony Mackie in the short film Crossing, and with Ed Burns and Brittany Murphy in The Groomsmen). I have been performing with the theater company Kairos Italy Theater for years in bi-lingual productions of Italian playwrights such as Edoardo De Filippo, Ennio Flaiano, Dino Buzzati and Franca Valeri.
In 2009 I shot a feature film as writer/director, The Contenders, which won the Accolade Award at the Honolulu International Film Festival nel 2010 and was accepted in International Film Festivals in Italy and the US. My second second screenplay, A Small Accident, received a special mention at Table Read My Screenplay at the Sundance Festival 2011.
In 2011 I published my first book, a novel in Italian entitled Occhi di cane, cuore di cervo.
In 2014 I produced my first play off-Broadway at the Cherry Lane Theatre in New York, The Window. My second play, Toscana or What I Remember, was produced in the fall of 2016. While I kept woking as an actress with the show produced by KIT in New York, The Worth of Women.
